Scotiabank executives visit business park in Las Americas Free Zone Park.
In December of 2018 Las Americas Free Zone Park began the construction of the first business park in the Dominican Republic. The business park will have more than 43,000 m2 distributed in 7 buildings, 4 stories high and modern gym facilities, cafeteria, training facilities and pharmacy. This project has its first world-class client, Scotiabank, which will occupy 14,000 m2 in the first two buildings, housing its contact centers and back processing offices that will serve its international clients. This project will have a positive impact on the country offering job opportunities to more than 2,000 people.
The Scotiabank executive team toured the construction in Las Americas Free Zone Park which will be delivered at the end of 2019 and will begin operations in the first months of 2020.
During this visit, the team met with President Danilo Medina in the National Palace where the CEO and president of the bank Brian Porter thanked for the support received for the initiation of this project, one of the most important in the coming years for the institution.
It is a great triumph for the Dominican Republic and Las Americas Free Zone Park as we have been selected as the perfect location in the world for a project of this magnitude.
